This Privacy Policy explains how PNG To DDS ("we", "us", "our") handles information when you use the website at pngtodds.com. Your privacy matters to us, and the design of our converter reflects that.
The short version
PNG To DDS converts your images entirely inside your web browser. The files you convert are never uploaded to a server, never stored by us, and never seen by anyone but you. There is no account to create and no login required.
Information we do not collect
We do not collect, transmit, or store the images you convert. When you add a PNG file to the converter, it is read locally by your browser using the standard canvas interface, processed on your device, and the resulting DDS file is offered to you as a direct download. At no point does your image leave your computer.
We do not require your name, email address, or any account to use the converter. We do not sell personal data, because we do not gather it in the first place.
Information handled by the contact form
If you choose to email us or use our contact form, you share the details you type, such as your name, email address, and message. We use that information only to reply to you and to improve the tool. We do not add you to a marketing list.
Local storage and cookies
The converter itself does not require cookies to function. If you use the optional language switcher, your language preference may be stored in a small cookie so the site remembers your choice as you move between pages. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
Third party services
We load web fonts from Google Fonts to display the site. If you use the language switcher, the Google Translate service may be loaded to translate page text. These services are governed by their own privacy policies. The optional translation feature is only activated when you select a non English language.
Analytics
If we use privacy respecting analytics to understand which pages are popular, that data is aggregated and does not identify you personally, and it never includes the contents of any file you convert.
Children
PNG To DDS is a general purpose tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
